Because apparently things haven’t changed enough in the month of May: my priest is leaving for another church in July.
I really didn’t need that right now.

It’s the only LIFE magazine I own.

“YOU CANNOT BE A FAITHFUL CATHOLIC AND REMAIN A ‘RESPECTABLE’MEMBER OF SOCIETY”
Everyone needs to read this. Everyone.
I’m just gonna reblog this again because everyone DOES need to see this because many people make incredibly ignorant assumptions about the Church that need to stop.
This is so, so, so good.

I don’t now how many of you have heard about Sexetc.org, because quite honestly I hadn’t until today, but I think this should be brought to the attention of all Christians:
There’s a group on Facebook that was recently brought to my attention because of my boyfriend called Boycott Texas in July until they stop supporting sexetc and their agenda. I didn’t know what sexetc...

going strong at almost 18 years old
I had a conversation in my creative writing class today with a few people about being proud to be a virgin by choice.

Attention to all of my modest Catholic tumbler family members:
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m getting a college wardrobe ready. I’m going to college in Florida, so I want some nice skirts.
I’m eighteen and not anywhere near outgrowing the junior’s sizes. Know any stores that I can check for some nice modest skirts that don’t swallow me? Keeping in mind that...
Catholic Mom: No More Girl Scout Cookies →
mystagogy:
I’ve learned more about the Girl Scout organization in recent years, but learned even more today. They have a book designed for 4th and 5th graders in which the play, “Simply Maria”, is promoted.
Here is an except from that play. It’s from Maria’s wedding. If I read this properly, it’s from a…
That’s okay. My wheat allergy prevented me from eating their cookies,...
lerazamaraeva asked: I'm not Catholic, I'm not really any religion. But I love seeing your posts because they always make me think. Yes, I do reblog things that make fun of religion- I find humor in such things. I hope you're not offended by the posts. I really how the differences in our beliefs hasn't taken our ability to get along quite right. Also, I really like your perspective on things.

Big. Time.
You know at least a few words in Latin.
You knew the Latin words because you sung them at mass. (;
I went like, 25 pages back and I had to stop.
Sorry if I missed anything epic between Friday and Mother’s Day. It just isn’t gonna happen.
Oh my gosh!
I’m sitting in my bedroom, windows closed, and someone just had their music really loud, and they were totally playing Break on Through (to the Other Side) by the Doors. I absolutely approve.

I haven’t been on Tumblr in days because of Prom and Solo and Ensemble and the concert on Monday and saying goodbye to my boyfriend yesterday.
So. Busy.
Watch me struggle to get caught up.

I got to bring my prom dress home today!
I also started day one of my new “college wardrobe.” I only got a scarf and a belt, but I really have this idea of a more vintage, feminine, mature look starting in the fall. Since I’m going to school in Florida, I shouldn’t have too hard of a time with the temperature.
I want some summer dresses that actually go to my knees! And...

Great piece by Matt Archbold in the Register today … about the myriad contributions of the Catholic Church to our society. Have you thought about this recently?

I believe in transubstantiation.
I believe that special reverence, called hyperdulia, should be shown to the Virgin Mary.

It’s fitting that the news of Osama bin Laden would be confirmed and revealed on Divine Mercy Sunday.
Death is never something that should be rejoiced. The security from the threat that he imposed is definitely something to give a sigh of relief for, but that it had to end in his death, especially since the state of his soul was in no where near an admirable condition, is not a good thing....

Blessed Pope John Paul II.
I’m totally stoked.
Also, there are like, five-thousand pictures of Disney World on my dash. It’s making me want to go there again really, really, really, really badly. But it also reminded me of a thought I had yesterday: I’m going to a school in Florida! I could legitimately plan a weekend with friends to go to Disney World. It...

What? A logical, factually-based article from a Psychology publication, saying that the media is making the abuse scandals into something far bigger than they actually are?
No, it can’t be true! It is?
